Chuck Berry Is Back
We love all music genres but must admit to having a soft spot for good Rock ‘n’ Roll, and there’s little doubt that Chuck Berry is one of the all time greats. And after a massive 38 years since his last album, he’s back!
The album is titled ‘Chuck’ and will be released in 2017 comprising of mostly new material and was recorded “in various studios around St Louis”. The new album features Chuck Berry’s long time backing group which includes his children, Charles Berry Jr. (on guitar) and Ingrid Berry (harmonica).
In a statement on his site, Chuck Berry said, “This record is dedicated to my beloved Toddy,” said Berry, referring to his wife of 68 years, Themetta Berry. “My darlin’ I’m growing old! I’ve worked on this record for a long time. Now I can hang up my shoes!”
More information will be released over the coming weeks and, we hope, a sample of what’s to come!
